Summer Choices

At Village Academy North we give you the broadest range of Summer Choices for your child.  From ages 4-13, we have it planned – and we have more experience with Summer than any other child care center is the county.  So please read on and decide what is the best Summer Choice for your child – Summer Camp, Curiosity Camp, or Summer VPK.

Summer Camp

The Village Academy has long been known for offering the most outstanding Summer Camp in St. Augustine and Northeast Florida.

This year we invite you to try out our new format featuring a different theme camp for each of our ten weeks of summer camp. Whether you are a water lover, a sports fanatic, or a theatrical diva we have something for you!

Dream big because every week of camp will feature trips, guest facilitators and special activities related to the theme of that week. Plus, enjoy all of your old time favorites such as swimming, arts and crafts, songs, indoor and outdoor games and much, much more!

Several of our weeks will feature an overnight event this year. And don't you worry… one of our weeks will be "Olympics", a Village Academy Summer Camp favorite. Enjoy exciting weekly themes as we dream big for the summer! All week our activities will lead up to our "Fun Fridays". We encourage all campers to register for full weeks of camp when possible. We will do theme related activities and trips, have facilitators on the site and more to enhance our program. On Fridays it is the...grand finale, so to speak. It will be the day we have our festivals, plays, art shows and more to highlight our week. You won't want to miss this!

Your child may attend 3 or 5 days per week, with only a two-week minimum. Please call 904.824.7997 soon - attendance is limited to 25 children!

Curiosity Camps

For the third year, we are offering our Curiosity Camps, designed for parents and children who want exciting summer experiences but not a full-time day camp.

Curiosity Camps are one-week summer mini-camps for Ages 4-8. Camp meets from Monday through Friday from 9-12. There is no registration fee, and the $75 tuition includes all materials.

Summer VPK

For the fourth year in a row, St Johns County Public Schools has contracted with Village Academy North to provide Summer VPK.  If your child missed out on School-Year VPK and will attend Kindergarten starting in August, then this is the program for you.  VPK has proven to enable children to be better prepared for elementary school, and you owe it to your child to help them be as ready as their peers.

Summer VPK is a 300-hour, state funded program that is open to children that will be attending Kindergarten in August but who have not attended School Year VPK.  There is no cost to parents.  We only employ degreed, accredited, experienced teachers in our Summer VPK program.  And we use the same curriculum provider as the St Johns County

Classes begin June 11 and end August 17th. They meet daily from 8:30 to 2:45.
